Hi, I’m susan bono.
I have a Mechanical Engineering and MBA/Finance degree. I worked for both General Motors and Ford Automotive as a thermal engineer and a business strategy analyst.
During this time, I had four children and later transitioned to full-time motherhood. I raised my children for the next 18 years. Upon turning 50 my kids left the house, and I faced an ‘empty nester’ phase of my life. At this point I realized I had neglected my health, friendships, spiritual connection, marriage, and purpose. I experienced a “rock-bottom” point in my life and embarked on a journey of self-discovery through functional/natural protocols. This transformative process facilitated my personal healing and allowed me to share my knowledge through coaching others.
My Approach
Biohacking
In addition to my formal training at IIN Health and Wellness Coaching, I have cultivated a personal interest in biohacking. This passion has driven me to explore additional ways of healing the body, by encompassing items such as: fitness/sleep trackers, light therapy, hot/cold therapy, supplements, a spectrum of exercises from yoga to HIIT, mindfulness/meditation, grounding, breathing techniques and detox protocols.
To facilitate my passion for helping others I obtained my training and coaching certificate from the esteemed Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
